At our core is human connection – guiding people to reimagine their futures in a community defined by opportunity, creativity, and growth.

Who we need

Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Regulatory Affairs, we are looking for a Manager, Regulatory Submissions to join our Governance, Regulatory & Government Affairs team. As the new Manager, Regulatory Submissions, you will play a key role in ensuring Yorkville University’s compliance with evolving federal and provincial requirements by managing the preparation, coordination, and submission of high-quality regulatory documentation. You will be the steward of Yorkville’s external voice, ensuring that all submissions to government ministries, accrediting agencies, and regulatory partners are clear, consistent, and aligned with the university’s institutional tone, message, and strategy. You will also support the development and ongoing quality assurance of all academic programs, ensuring alignment with compliance expectations and institutional standards.

This is an existing vacancy for a full-time hybrid role, working three days per week in our downtown Toronto office and a move to our new 120 Bloor location in Fall 2027.

What’s in it for you

Impact and ownership. You will play a central role in maintaining the integrity and advancing the growth of Yorkville University’s academic programs. You will help ensure compliance with regulatory standards while supporting the development and quality assurance of new and existing programs. You will have the autonomy to manage processes from end to end, coordinating across teams, shaping submission standards, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency across the process.

Variety and complexity. With Yorkville University’s operations spanning three provinces, you will navigate diverse regulatory environments, working on projects that differ in scope and complexity, keeping your work engaging, meaningful, and intellectually stimulating.

Career growth and purpose. Whether your background is in grant writing, government proposal development, or compliance within the non-profit or education sector, this role offers the opportunity to apply your skills in a higher education context. Yorkville University invests in your growth — offering free tuition after one year, right up to our Masters program — giving you the chance to continue learning while building a meaningful career in government and regulatory affairs.

As our new Manager, Regulatory Submissions, you will:

  • Lead. You will manage the end-to-end process of regulatory submissions, from drafting and compiling documentation to coordinating reviews, edits, and final approvals. You will act as the central point of control for all outgoing submissions, ensuring that every document sent to external authorities meets Yorkville’s institutional standards of accuracy, tone, and professionalism.
  • Develop. You will prepare and refine regulatory proposals and submissions, ensuring they are clear, consistent, and professional. You will write original content and edit or adapt materials from multiple contributors to ensure one consistent institutional voice that reflects Yorkville’s standards and strategic priorities. You will build and maintain standardized templates, tools, and content repositories that improve efficiency, quality, and institutional readiness.
  • Review. You will manage the review and approval process across departments, securing timely feedback and sign-offs from senior leadership. You will continuously refine workflows to strengthen transparency and responsiveness.
  • Monitor. You will stay informed of changes in federal and provincial regulations, adapting processes as required to maintain compliance and quality assurance. You will maintain a central system to track deadlines, approvals, and submission progress.
  • Collaborate. You will work closely with academic leaders, operational units, and internal partners to gather information, validate content, and ensure alignment with Yorkville University’s mission and compliance standards. You will foster strong working relationships to support effective communication and coordination across departments.
  • Support. You will play an active role in new program development, advising teams on regulatory requirements, timelines, and documentation standards. You will capture key actions, identify regulatory implications, and triage items for follow-up to ensure new initiatives are compliant and submission-ready.
  • Contribute. You will play an active role in strengthening institutional quality assurance and governance to sustain Yorkville University’s reputation for academic integrity and continuous improvement.

You have:

  • The experience. You bring experience in grant writing, regulatory submissions, compliance, policy development, or a related field. You thrive in environments where precision, structure, and quality matter. You are comfortable managing projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines, ensuring that each deliverable meets high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
  • The background. You hold a Master’s degree and you bring the analytical thinking and communication skills to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable plans. Experience in a regulated or non-profit environment, such as healthcare, government, or a professional association, is an asset. Direct higher education experience is not required; what matters most is your ability to learn quickly and apply your critical thinking skills in a new context.
  • The communication and writing skills. You are an exceptional writer and editor, able to craft clear, compelling documents that reflect the voice and standards of the institution. You build trust and credibility with internal and external stakeholders, from faculty members to senior leaders and regulatory agencies. You communicate with confidence, clarity, and diplomacy.
  • The project management. You excel at leading complex, cross-functional projects under tight deadlines. You are highly organized and detail-oriented, able to track multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and follow structured processes while adapting to shifting requirements.
  • The ownership. You are proactive, professional, and adaptable, with a strong commitment to excellence and continuous improvement. You take initiative, follow through on commitments, and hold yourself accountable for outcomes. You approach challenges with curiosity and persistence, finding ways to move work forward even when obstacles arise.
  • The technical ability. You are proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with project management tools such as Smartsheet. You can quickly learn new systems, maintain data accuracy, and ensure documentation is audit-ready.
